An explosion-proof blanket is a blanket-shaped explosion-proof device made from high-strength bulletproof fiber materials through a specialized manufacturing process. Its outer cover is wear-resistant and waterproof. The explosion-proof blanket can replace the bulky sandbags of explosion-proof containers, effectively blocking the shock waves and fragments generated when an explosive device detonates. It is used for the isolation and protection of explosive materials.

Generally, an explosion-proof blanket can withstand approximately 60g of TNT explosive. The PWFBT-2R type explosion-proof blanket offers a protection level of up to 70g of TNT, ensuring personnel remain unharmed at a distance of over 1 meter.

Usage Methods and Precautions for Explosion-Proof Blankets:

Based on hardness, there are two types: soft-body and hard-body. Based on specifications, there are two sizes: 1.2m x 1.2m and 1.6m x 1.6m. It consists of two parts: an explosion-proof enclosure and an explosion-proof blanket. When using, first cover the suspected explosive device with the explosion-proof enclosure, positioning the device as close to the center as possible. Then place the explosion-proof blanket over the enclosure (also spreading the blanket toward the center as much as possible).

Due to the properties of its internal materials, the explosion-proof blanket must not be placed under strong ultraviolet light. Therefore, during storage, keep it away from direct sunlight, as exposure may affect its service life and explosion-proof capability.

Note: Once an explosion-proof blanket has been subjected to an explosion, it must not be reused.

Scope of Application:

The explosion-proof blanket is suitable for any equipment requiring explosion protection, including valuable instruments, cultural relics and archives, as well as special public venues and crowded areas (such as shopping malls, hospitals, schools, subways, cultural and entertainment venues, kindergartens, etc.) for personnel protection. It is essential explosion-proof equipment for public security, armed police, civil aviation, railways, ports, customs, and other agencies.
